Ugh.

So I set this thing up thinking I'd be able to write more expansively than I've done in other places about things I have banging around in my head.

That assumes, however, that you have the energy and motivation to write. A clever blog name is a start, but it isn't going to get anything done.

So what the hey. Here's a list of things I've collected that I'd like to write in depth about...

* Connection between bodily resurrection and baptism as spiritual resurrection. Baptism enables super-human acts of will.

* http://www.patheos.com/blogs/publiccatholic/2015/07/fights-broken-relationships-name-calling-and-hate-the-social-detritus-of-gay-marriage-piles-up/

* What is faith worth when confirmation bias for it is in play?

* Control vs. helplessness: superstition, religion, science, climate change.

* Cockroach Matrix: ethics, potential discoveries

* Are intelligibility and coherence of arguments important anymore? Or are we dealing with a non-Euclidean philosophy problem?

* https://thomism.wordpress.com/2015/07/01/truth-pt-1/

* http://edwardfeser.blogspot.com/2015/07/feyerabend-on-empiricism-and-sola.html

Maybe that'll give the hypothetical reader a sense of what interests me. Whether the writing actually materializes is a bit more uncertain.

Wot's all this, then?

A dead thing can go with the stream, but only a living thing can go against it.

G. K. Chesterton, The Everlasting Man, 1925

With all due respect to Chesterton, while living things can go against the flow I think it takes something else entirely to climb out of the stream altogether. Not brains necessarily, nor physical strength. I'm having trouble pinning it down, but there must be something.

The preceding paragraphs were written several months ago... Upon re-reading then, the most likely candidate is Sanctifying Grace. Which means that my tag line probably needs significant readjustment.
